A Monaco-based yacht management company has responded to a client call for optimum on-board cleaning of fixtures and fittings with the launch of a Prochem-led dedicated interior maintenance service.

Claudio Novi’s Monaco Sails company has its roots in event management with over 15 years experience

“When you are working for very high-end customers, it’s firstly a case of finding the right partner,” he says.

“We conducted a survey of top-level technologies and suppliers and found Prochem’s name coming up regularly amongst other businesses cleaning yachts along the Cote d’Azur.

“It became clear that this was the right kind of quality brand to be associated with and one that brings key benefits in the power, speed and ease of access that truck mount cleaning has.”

Prochem offers the widest range of truck mounted cleaning extractors on the European market. Claudio opted for the Peak GTX as a solution that met Monaco Sails’ initial needs and available budget.

Monaco Sails’ new Peak GTX

Powered by a durable liquid-cooled 26 hp Kohler engine, the Peak provides high performance, durability and simplified maintenance. The patented heat exchange system provides plenty of heat for single or dual wand wand operation, along with quiet vacuum power up to 120 m (400 ft) from the vehicle.

“It’s proven an ideal machine to enter the market with,” he reports.

Monaco Sails is not registered as a cleaning company (as law demands in the Principality of Monaco) so Claudio has entered into a partnership with Italian cleaning company Water World to service his clients’ yachts in marinas and shipyards from Spain to Italy.

“We sent their operator to Chessington to attend a two-day training course and he finds the machine highly effective and straightforward to use on mattresses, upholstery, carpets and even ceiling tiles,” says Claudio.

“And being vehicle-based, we can park up alongside each yacht and simply feed run hoses and wands on board to clean whatever is required fast and without fuss.

Claudio is not one for letting business stand still.

“We shall be reviewing how business has gone after the last major races of the year with a view to acquiring another van and Prochem truck mount,” he adds.
