Ashford-based, Carpet Shine has been busy taking its knowledge of Prochem
chemicals to a new level.
The cleaning company is a growing force in the EOT (end of tenancy) market in Kent, as it offers estate agents and local council departments a one-stop cleaning package that not only includes carpet care but also exterior, oven and general cleaning.
Prochem-trained boss James Leighton was presented with a greasy synthetic carpet in an old farmhouse, the mess courtesy of three dogs in residence.
“Normally, I’d apply S709 Multi Pro as a pre-treatment and a machine rinse of S775 Extraction Plus but I wondered that this might not deal with that particular level of greasy soiling so I used S710 Trafficlean as a booster in rinse tank,” James tells us.
By diluting between 10-30ml per litre of water in the extraction machine tank, the high pH of Trafficlean helped enhance the grease-cutting capability of the extraction rinse.
When James had finished, the client was amazed with the results and Carpet Shine received another 5-star review.
He has one extra bit of advice: “You only need a small amount of S710 Trafficlean as a “tank booster” – otherwise you’re good to go!”
