‘Fully-loaded’ Powerplus machines wait to be shipped

One of the UK’s largest housing providers and FM companies has specified Prochem SX2700 Steempro Powerplus carpet extraction machines for its London region sites.

Southern Housing services over 80,000 homes across London, the Southeast, the Isle of Wight and the Midlands.

When its London operation was recently awarded new contracts, the decision was taken to upgrade its carpet extractor equipment to units with larger-capacity and offering increased vacuum power.

Enquiries were made to Prochem Europe. Sales & Training Manager, Phil Jones says:

“The Powerplus has the power Southern Housing needed and is also ideal for use in apartment block communal areas where cleaning teams can leave a machine at the bottom of a stairwell and service the corridor and stair carpets via extension hoses.”

At Southern Housing cleaning managers’ request that the machines be ‘fully-loaded’, the specification expanded for five 55ltr capacity machines with 25ft vacuum/solution hoses and twin jet wands to include extension hoses, brackets on the machines to wrap them around, and – most usefully – AC3001 Heat ‘n’ Run in-line heaters for communal areas without access to warm water.

Humphrey Thompson, Estates Services Manager at Southern Housing commented: “The long-term benefits of using the Prochem carpet extractor machines, combined with our specially trained Estate Services Team, offer both convenience and excellent value for money.

“By delivering a high standard of deep cleaning in-house across our schemes, we’re able to improve satisfaction and generate savings for our residents and for Southern Housing.”
