Britain’s premier provider of training for cleaning industry professionals, Prochem Europe broadened access to its courses in a year of pandemic.

Covid-19 may have decelerated cleaning activity but demand for knowledge about the profession has remained unabated, not only from companies investing in the training of contract-cleaning staff but from an increasingly growing number of ‘new business’ start-ups.

Prochem rose to meet that need.

While it’s Training Academy for individual delegates at Chessington, Surrey, remained closed during lockdown, the company devolved its Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning One-day courses on-line.

Knowledge has been translated into multimedia formats including new videos of cleaning methods showing stain removal techniques, pre-cleaning tests with related product information.

Students now gain the same high-level of technical knowledge that they would if attending a face-to-face course and being live-streamed courses enable student interaction with other attendees as well as instructors by asking questions and enhancing (overall) the overall learning experience.

“Well organized and informative, excellent value for money – I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this to others looking to partake in CPD,” is delegate Luke Barnes of Blue Rose Services’ summing up.

This hugely-successful strategy enabled the company’s knowledge pipeline to remain open up to post-lockdown when the Academy could re-open with reduced numbers for its regular courses, including those covering Stain Removal with the requisite testing and social distancing.

Says Anthony Nash of A+ Cleaning Services: “I feel so much more confident – taking the training course has definitely had a real impact on my business.”

Meanwhile, the introduction of a complementary programme of private corporate courses tailored for groups of over 12 has opened the Prochem knowledge base further to mid to larger contractors as well as local authority in-house teams.

Prochem’s is now a three-pronged approach to really understanding cleaning and how to make sure the correct process and solution is working for your business.
