Going to the doctors isn’t the trial for Richard and Mel Aisbitt it can be for the rest of us…

In fact, taking full advantage of Prochem technology and training is keeping the bosses of East Sussex surgery cleaning specialists, Done & Dusted ‘in the pink’.

Carpet cleaning underpins the Hailsham-based business and keeps the 12-strong team busy – but it’s ex-nurse Mel’s idea of tackling safety floors that has been the game changer.

“We look after as lot of doctors’ surgeries and Mel noticed that these and similar health sector sites were changing from carpet to hard floor, notably safety flooring,” says Richard.

“We had bought a new Prochem machine only last year – the fantastic Steempro Powermax, our second! – so we decided to return to Chessington and find out more about a solution for hard flooring.”

The Aisbitts put a lot of store in service and see these as a key benefit of buying Prochem.

Says Richard:

“We got lots of good advice about what kind of machine and chemicals to buy. I went on a hard floor training course to gain the necessary knowledge. And off we went!”

Richard and Mel chose a walk-behind Rapid 380BC Scrubber Drier (pictured) to tackle the surgery floors. It’s an ideal solution for small to medium sized hard floor areas; with battery power, quick and easy to clean both open and confined areas.

Done & Dusted operatives find the unit simple to use in narrow and confined areas and appreciate its ergonomic design enabling the machine’s handling remain constant during use with solution gradually passing from the solution tank to the recovery tank.

Richard and Mel are using all-Prochem chemicals with the Rapid and particularly like free-rinsing alkaline cleaner, A250 Alkleen – “it gets fantastic results!,” says Richard.

“In fact, the results all round have been fabulous,” he continues “especially on a textured resin/painted concrete floor we had on contract. It was proving a real challenge until the Rapid 380BC came along.”

After-sales service is another reason Done & Dusted use Prochem technology and solutions.

“It’s the best. We’re running a test right now with Prochem to assess the best way of tackling problem floors,” says Richard.

“The plan is pre-spray with D500 Microsan, and then scrub with a solution of acidic neutraliser C255 Prorinse in the tank, and then let it dry. We’ll let you know how we get on!”
